VIRGINIA TECH TALENTED YOUNG MATHEMATICANS E-DAY

The Virginia Tech Chapter of the Association for Women in Math is planning Virginia Tech Talented Young Mathematicians E-Day (VT-TYME), a virtual mathematics activity day, to take place on Saturday, April 172021.
VT-TYME is a community math e-outreach day of activities for 20 advanced high school and first year undergraduate students who reside in the Commonwealth of Virginia. We will be conducting two hands-on activities that will introduce students to knot theory and mathematical modeling using differential equations. Please refer to the attachment for more details regarding the two activities.  

Applications accepted on a rolling basis. The application only requires a short paragraph indicating why they are interested in participating in the program. There is no fee to participate, and students will receive a free t-shirt as well as all materials necessary to complete the activities via mail to their home address.
